Naughty Creations
Nathalie began collecting and making costume jewelry in childhood. She confides that, very early, she had fun dismantling her parents' crystal chandelier to make necklaces and earrings. Tassels, pompoms and other decorative trimmings served as belts and bracelets. She even smashed little mint boxes into flower-shaped brooches.
Cultural Treasures
A graduate degree in Art History led Nathalie to focus on the Middle East and decorative motifs in mosques. Travels in oriental cultures provided inspiration for her creations. After coming back to Paris, she worked for the Spanish designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, discovering a rich universe of bright colors. Nathalie is an up and coming contemporary fashion jewelry designer.
A chrysalis becomes a butterfly
In 2002, Nathalie created her own brand, which has met with great success wherever exhibited.. She mixes old jewelry, Murano beads, embroidery and feathers to make fascinating baroque creations.
With slightly acid colors and soft material, the "Pompon" collection transports us back into our childhood fantasies. A veritable cornucopia of delights, her necklaces tempt one to take a bite. Her mysterious "Metal" collection is charged with spirituality. Some pieces refer to religion and superstition. Nathalie successfully weaves them into her own style.
Everywhere, vivid color bursts forth revealing Nathalie's irrepressible touch and the hallmark of the healing and energising powers with which she infuses her creations.
Her fashion jewelry reflect Nathalie Breda's philosophy of spontaneity, optimism and joy.
